NEW BOOKS! - Thank you to the City of Golovin! Because of opportunity for the Student Council to help decide where CBS funds were spent, the 4th/5th grade students just received a new set of reading books. Our Elementary kids love to read!
SUBSTITUTES NEEDED! - At this time we have a very short substitute list. If you are interested in subbing for any, or all, position please come by the school to pick up an application. If you have filled out an application in the past, but have not been contacted in a while, please call us to make sure you are still on our listing.
PARENT CONFERENCES! - We will be having our Parent Conferences for the 3rd Quarter grading period on Wednesday, March 31, from 1:45 until 5:00. We will be following our regular Friday Schedule that day, so students will be released at 1:30. Friday, April 2, will also be on a normal Friday schedule, as we have a required BSSD Staff training that afternoon.
GYM WILL BE OPEN!!! We have a volunteer to open the gym tonight. March 26. See you there.

WELCOME BACK GIRLS! - Our MLO Lady Lynx won both games against Gambell this weekend. A great ending to a tough season! Congratulations to Isaac and all of the girls!
ANOTHER BOYS BASKETBALL ANNOUNCEMENT - We will not have enough boys to be able to compete against Stebbins this weekend so we will have to call off the games.Please contact the school for further information.
LATEST ON BOYS BASKETBALL! - We will only be hosting Stebbins this weekend, Gambell will not be here. We do not know the schedule yet, but will only have 2 games. Thank you for the referee's who have signed up. As soon as we know the times of the games we will post them. If BSSD changes things up again we will post here as soon as possible. BOYS BASKETBALL UPDATE! - It looks like we have referees lines up for next weekend, so we should have no problem with having the games. The district is allowing us to slack off a little on our COVID policy, so we should be able to have a few more guests in the gym. We will be hosting Gambell and Stebbins (NOT Shismaref and Shaktoolik, my mistake). Once we know times I will post them.
UPCOMING BOYS BASKETBALL! - We should be hosting the boys from SKK and SHH next week. Our district COVID rules are relaxed, so we should be able to allow more people into the gym. However, we MUST HAVE REFEREES LINED UP to be able to host. If we do not have commitments by the end of the day Tuesday We will need to have them travel or forfeit the games. Call the school, or Cherilyn (739-1027) to sign up.

GIRLS BASKETBALL! - Our Lady Lynx played hard again Saturday, but still lost both games to Shismaref and Shaktoolik. They should travel to Gambell next weekend to play against Teller and Gambell.
VIDEO UPDATE - We should have our problem resolved with our live video for today's games. All games will be broadcast on the Golovin School Facebook page.
GIRLS BASKETBALL UPDATE - Our girls played hard, but lost both games yesterday. Today the Lady Lynx will play the Shaktoolik Wolverines at 10:00 am. They will play the Shishmaref Northern Lights at 7:00 pm. Only guest on the list provided by the girls will be allowed in the school. For more information please contact the school.
SCHEDULE CHANGE - To keep any team from having to play 3 games in a row we have had to make a last minute schedule change. SKK will play SHH today at 4:30. Our girls will play the Northern Lights tonight at 8:00. Saturday our girls will play the Wolverines at 10:00 am Saturday, and the Northern lights at 7:00 pm. Shaktoolik and Shishmaref will play again at 3:30 Saturday.
BASKETBALL TODAY! - Our boys will be traveling to Shishmaref this morning to compete against the Northern Lights and the Shaktoolik Wolverines. Our girls will be playing against the Shaktoolik girls at 1:00. Only the 5 visitors invited by each girl and essential staff are allowed to attend.
