Good Afternoon SMK! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I wanted to share out a few reminders for this week as we have quite a bit going on: 1. State testing starts tomorrow, Monday, March 25, 2024. Please make sure your kiddos are in bed at a decent time and get to school on time to have breakfast. Remind them to do their best and work hard. 2. Karen Keck from NACTEC will be here this week for EiE. This will probably include some after school club time and Subway STEM night. Stay tuned for more info. 3. NSEDC Outreach will be Wednesday & Thursday of this week. They have a presentation after school Wednesday then headed to Stebbins Thursday AM. We will share out the information flyer. 4. We will also have an early out Tuesday, March 26 at 1:30 for our Teach to Heal training for SMK staff. Enjoy your Sunday!

Good Afternoon SMK! We have 2 open positions here at the school: 1. 1:1 ECE student (5 hours) 2. High School tutoring aide: only until the end of the FY24 school year. (6.5 hours) If you have an application at the school already, please contact the school to let us know you're interested. If you have not completed an application, please do so as soon as possible to be considered. Would like to fill these positions by next week. Thanks so much!

We had some special guests visit SMK! Team Celebrity Street Ball manager and Golden State Warriors G Team player #0 visited Anthony A Andrews School to talk about healthy choices and spend time with our students and community.

Good Evening! We will be hosting KTS Boys Basketball team tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 9, 2024. Due to the travel, we will have to have both games on Friday. Game times are at 6 PM & 9 PM. Community Market will be Saturday, Feb. 10 from 2-4 PM.

Good Morning! A couple of updates: 1. We will be hosting KTS Boys & having Senior night this weekend. Games & times TBA when we receive official travel. **We are in need of volunteers to be able to host. We also need at least 1 more referee. If you're willing to ref, please call Maggie at the school. 2. Community Market will be this Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 from 2-4PM. Please call the school & let us know if you'd like a table. See y'all there! 3. Our SMK girls team is scheduled to travel to GLV this weekend.

Good Evening SMK! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Happy to report that our girls team made it home from Teller and our boys made it home from Noatak! Also happy to report that after speaking to Devon, the Tapraq guys and checking the building, we will resume a normal school day tomorrow, Monday, February 5, 2024. The school is still only down to one pump, however, they are hopeful the Tapraq guys are able to get back over tomorrow to continue to work on the 2nd pump. We will continue to share out information as we work diligently with the District maintenance team who is working hard to resolve these issues that are out of our control. We would also like to send a huge shout out to Devon & Jay-Ar who have worked very hard this weekend with the Tapraq crew and boiler techs. They have done an amazing job and the District is pleased with their work. Thank you guys! We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Good Evening! I hope everyone is doing well. Happy to be home! Here's a couple updates: 1. Tapraq Rock came over to assess the school building and found the issues with the system. The zone valves are manually open and will let it heat up overnight. They will be working under the school all day tomorrow to fix the sewer line. We can use absolutely no water in the school right now. 2. School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 so that they can fix the system. 3. Both Thursday & Friday of this week will have to be made up for sure. We will announce those dates as soon as we are able. Thank you to everyone for being flexible and patient while we work these things out.
